All my life I’ve loved brands. I love fashion brands, beauty brands, food and drink packaging…basically anything that feels like it really owns its personality. I believe that’s why we consume what we do, because we connect with the brand itself.
These days I’ve been noticing more and more the similarities and differences with brands that are pushing us to rethink sustainability. Whether you’re a tinned fish brand or a shoe company, your mission is now greater than ever. You have a moral standard to upkeep. Great brands do this with the mission baked into their DNA (here’s to you, Patagonia!). Newer brands need to prove themselves.
