Dirt
Dirt
Dirt is a lifestyle blog.
I write a little of everything and try to highlight companies and people that have an edge or complete focus on sustainability in their industry.
I also write about my own life.
Posts are relatively short, brands are researched.
Vetting for Dirt is done using publicly available information, research into company practices, and internal references from trusted climate solutions experts and sources. 1 Hotel Hanalei Bay
1 Hanalei Bay is one of the most sustainable hotels that I have ever heard of. Sustainability is, quite literally, built into the hotel’s DNA, including “144.6 tons of salvaged materials turned into furniture, sustainable art pieces that pay homage to their surroundings, and an array of reclaimed teak joists, puma lava stone, quartz, Caesarstone, and so much more.”
HoldOn Trash Bags
HoldOn is making compostable trash bags and kitchen sets that are good for the environment.

Mane by Mane Addicts
Mane by Mane Addicts is a hair styling solutions brand built around Mane Addicts, a full-service hub connecting creators and hairstylists globally. Mane Addicts was founded in 2014 by Jen Atkin.
Plus Products
PLUS Products have some of the strongest branding I’ve seen in a while. The website is colorful and vibrant and feels distinct, which is rare. PLUS (pun intended!) they are focused on sustainability from ingredients to shipping.
FaTH
Yes, the name is cool. But the skincare is even better. FaTH is, to put it mildly, dreamy. I’ve used their Mage Oil twice now (to anyone at FaTH, please confirm how to pronounce this because I have botched it before, I’m sure) and had to literally stop myself from practically drinking the bottle its so good. It makes your skin glow for the whole day, which as we know, is hard to do.
Patagonia Tinned Fish
Tinned fish is having a real moment. If you haven’t bought the book, aptly named, “The Magic of Tinned Fish: Elevate Your Cooking with Canned Anchovies, Sardines, Mackerel, Crab, and Other Amazing Seafood”, by Chris McDade, you should. It takes you through delicious recipes and even gives a list of brands that make the best quality tinned fish. It’s also just so pretty.
About Dirt
All my life I’ve loved brands. I love fashion brands, beauty brands, food and drink packaging…basically anything that feels like it really owns its personality. I believe that’s why we consume what we do, because we connect with the brand itself.
